Performing Arts Academy
Christian Academy of Performing Arts of Iquitos (CAPAI) Redeeming the performing arts back to the Kingdom.
Purpose:
To minister to children and youth while helping them to develop their self-esteem, motor skills and creative potential through music, dance, and drama. This after-school performing arts academy has not yet officially opened, but it is close to the hearts of the staff of YWAM Iquitos, and we are praying for the right personnel in order to inaugurate soon.
CAPAI's calendar will parallel the Peruvian school calendar (Feb. – Dec.). The academy will emphasize the importance of Christian integrity as well as the development of artistic abilities. The initial levels of study offered will be for children and teens.
The academy faculty includes personnel with more than 15 years of combined performing and teaching experience. The academy is structured with a complete disciplinary and evaluative system.
Celebrate! Programs: Throughout the school year CAPAI will present these performances in various venues.
At the end of the school year a recital will be offered in celebration of the diligent study of the students in their respective levels.
